Hey,
I'm 15 years old. My mum and her sister absolutely loved the Bee Gees. The only song of theirs I'd heard was Tragedy and that was because I was looking for the Steps version. Yesterday, I was just on Wikipedia, trying to find the name of a member of any band that began with 'M' (for a game I was playing on a Maroon 5 fan forum). I decided to type in the Bee Gees. I thought I ought to see whether they were any good. I typed in "How Deep is Your Love" on YouTube and listened to the song. I swear to God I was blown away. The song combined the styles that all my favourite artists use and make something pretty much magical. It was probably the best music I'd ever heard. It brought such joy to my ears, I was [insert another word for blown away]. After that, I looked up other Bee Gees songs and have now heard Tragedy, Stayin' Alive, Wish You Were Here and How Deep is Your Love. I read the story of the Bee Gees and nearly cried reading about Andy and Maurice's deaths. I think Wish You Were Here is my favourite song of theirs right now (it makes me feel so sad!) although How Deep is Your Love is a very close second. Ashamed to have never discovered the magic of the Bee Gees before now, Saarah. |

I believe the bee gees have been overlooked by many. But no matter once you are exposed to them you never forget them!

Saarah,
Welcome and as they say - better late than never. It's true - it may take you eternity to find them and listen but once you do - that is it - you're hooked. I was a bit older than you when I discovered them and then hit all the record stores to find all their old stuff and now my collection is complete. Enjoy your new found love - it wono't let you down.
