WOW - it's been way to quiet in here - first of all - hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays andI wish you all much luck & happiness in 2009 - just can't believe how fast the time is going.

When I first posted I said Main Course for my favorite album - but after thinking about it and reading other posts I have to change my answer to "ALL" - I can't really pick a favorite.

A lot depends on my mood sometimes - never was a real fan of disco [sorry] but if I want to get into a party mood of sorts, than yeah - SNF is played by all means.....if I want to mellow out I throw on the older stuff.

LET'S GET POSTING IN HERE!!!!!!!!!

Hi Omphalos,
I was just re-reading thru some old post and saw yours. First of all, I am so sorry to hear about your mom - it's devastating. We don't have cancer but we do have altzheimers so it can be a rough road. And OMG - I laughed so hard when I read about wearing out your 8-Track - lord does THAT bring back memories.

Well, I recently picked up all my boxes from the parents basement and unpacked all my albums. I have the "Here At Last.....Bee Gees Live double album. It's worn out but if you'd like------all I can offer you is a cassette recording of it. I don't have it on CD and have no clue how to do that. I actually do have a "record player" ---picked one up at Big Lot's a few years back for about 60 bucks. Best investment I ever made - LOL
E-Mail me back and let me know what you think - OK?
Kathy

Hi everyone, I'm new here! Just registered to say what my fave album/song was, but now I'm here I'm stuck - I really don't know! I love them all. Been a fan since aged 11 (back in 1979).

I guess 'Sinking Ships' was an early favourite of mine and I love their early stuff. 'Living Eyes' and 'ESP' are favourite albums because they remind me of when I got my first car and I'd played them all the time. It was Autumn, and they always make me think of that time.

I can't think of any other artist/s I'm keen on that have been consistantly one of my favourites throughout such a long period of time, so I'm not suprised I can't decide on a favourite - my iPlayer's totally dominated by the BeeGees too, but there isn't one track/album that gets more plays over the others on there either!

Looking forward to chatting to you all on this forum!

Ooh, and thinking about it, 'Run To Me' is a favourite too - was me and my husbands 'first dance' tune, followed up by 'Technicolour Dreams' where we danced with our parents - great memories!

Although it's too numerous to pick just one, if I had to pick then it would be "Main Course". "Jive Talking", "Nights On Broadway", and "Fanny Be Tender (With My Love)" were the hit songs. However, it was such a strong album that even the non-singles like "Wind Of Change", "Songbird", and "Baby As You Turn Away" were great songs (even omitted in their box set). The album cover may have been risque for 1975, but their famous logo appeared for the first time.

There are entirely to many to pick just one ...
I have several, and still there are many more that I could add ...

How Deep Is Your Love
Live or Die (Hold me like a child)
Love So Right
(Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away
Don't Fall In Love With Me
How Can You Mend A Broken Heart
Love So Right
Run to Me
To Love Somebody
Too Much Heaven
Turn Around, Look At Me
Words

There has never been anyone else like the Bee Gees and I highly doubt that there ever will be again. They are truly a Legend ...

Listing my favourite Bee Gees songs would be difficult, there are so many and it would be hard to narrow it down to just a few.

My favourite album would be Spirits Having Flown. That said "Living Eyes", "Mr Natural", "Size Isn't Everything" and "To Whom It May Concern" aren't too far behind.

Honourable mentions for Robin's "Walls Have Eyes", "Idea" and "Odessa"... I really could go on and on here. Big Grin
