Does anyone know what guitar tuning Barry used during One Night Only?

Hi Ray,
I think he uses his own open tuning and just has to finger the first string when playing chords. It may be D. |

Hi Ray,
I think it's D tuning. |

Hi Ray & Nick,
I am not sure about the One Night Only concert but I seem to remember Barry Gibb discussing on a TV program some time ago that his guitar was tuned open to 'E'. That's because he is a self taught guitar player and basically, tuned his open guitar to 'E' and then started figuring out how to make different chords from there. |

Hi Gary & Ray,
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. Gary I think you're right about the open E tuning. Ray, there are a few books out there that are Bee Gees songbooks. I have two, one is "Tales From The Brothers Gibb", and "To Whom It May Concern", the original 1973 songbook (LP was from 1972), and the songs are pretty easy and fun to learn. I play "Alive" when I perform at Jam Sessions or gigs. That is in E, and "Never Been Alone" is in C. Gary, how is the band coming along? Do you guys do any songs from "Odessa" or "To Whom It May Concern"? Be good, Nick |
